Arianna is a clinical extern at the Arete Center and a fourth-year Clinical Child Psychology PhD student at the University of Denver. A psychology extern is a graduate student in advanced clinical training who provides therapy under the close supervision of an experienced licensed psychologist. Arianna is supervised by Dr. Clio Pitula.

Arianna has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of socioemotional and behavioral concerns. In therapy, Arianna draws from evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while striving to create a supportive and inclusive space for youth and families from all backgrounds. She also serves as a clinical extern at the Asian Pacific Clinic, where she provides therapy to immigrants and refugees of Asian and Pacific Islander heritage.

Prior to her graduate training, Arianna completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California (USC) and worked in pediatric psychology research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Her research at USC and Children’s Hospital LA fostered her passion for her current line of research, which examines pathways of mental health-related risk and resilience following childhood adversity.

In her free time, Arianna enjoys attending concerts, hiking, trying new restaurants, spending time with loved ones, and continuing her search for the best latté in Denver.

  • Therapy services with extern clinicians are offered at a reduced rate. The fee schedule for Arianna is available here.

  • The Arete Center is not contracted with any insurance companies. Visits with providers at The Arete Center are considered “out of network” and reimbursement is based on your insurance company’s policy. Please check with your insurance company as to whether or not you would qualify for out-of-network benefits.

    If needed, after payment is received, a detailed invoice can be provided for out-of-network billing purposes, if covered by your insurance provider.

    This practice does not accept third-party insurance payments including Medicaid and Medicare.

    Due to Medicaid policies, we are unable to render services to Medicaid recipients.
