Dave Walick, MD
Board-certified Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Walick is a board-certified Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with years of clinical practice and leadership. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). He specializes in the comprehensive psychiatric treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.
An NCAA All-American soccer player and a distinguished United States Air Force Academy graduate, he earned his Master of Arts in Philosophy from Arizona State University and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship training at the University Of Texas (UTHSCSA).
After many years of patient care and leadership in the Air Force, including service in Afghanistan, Dr. Walick retired from the military and joined the Children’s Hospital Colorado. In 2018, he achieved his lifetime dream by co-founding The Arete Center, a comprehensive behavioral health practice where psychiatrists and psychologists could collaborate to provide comprehensive, personalized mental health services.

To provide excellent service to his current patients, Dr. Walick limits the number of new patients he schedules each year.

We do not keep a waitlist for psychiatry services.

The Arete Center is not contracted with any insurance companies. Visits with providers at The Arete Center are considered “out of network,” and reimbursement is based on your insurance company’s policy. Please check with your insurance company to see whether or not you qualify for out-of-network benefits.
After payment is received, a detailed invoice can be provided for out-of-network billing purposes if covered by your insurance provider.
Due to Medicaid policies, we cannot render services to Medicaid recipients.
