Dr. Eliza Lanzillo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in helping children, adolescents, and adults overcome anxiety, OCD, and related challenges, including social anxiety, separation anxiety, health anxiety, specific phobias, panic disorder, misophonia, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. With a warm, collaborative approach, she creates a welcoming therapeutic space where clients feel heard and supported as they work toward their goals.
Dr. Lanzillo brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to her practice. She specializes in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her approach centers on acceptance, cultural humility, and creating a non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences and build lasting skills for well-being.
Eliza completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Brown University before earning her PhD in Clinical Psychology from The Catholic University of America. Her specialized training includes an APPIC-accredited predoctoral internship with the OCD Program at Baylor College of Medicine, where she honed her expertise in treatments for OCD and related conditions.
Eliza’s commitment to evidence-based treatment extends beyond the therapy room. She has contributed to numerous published research studies and has presented her work at national conferences. Her research background, particularly in suicide prevention and treatment intervention, directly informs her clinical practice, ensuring clients receive care grounded in scientific evidence.
In addition to psychotherapy, Eliza conducts psychological assessments to inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and academic accommodations. She offers both in-person services and telepsychology sessions to clients in PSYPACT participating states.
In her free time, Eliza loves exploring new destinations and hiking trails, experimenting in the kitchen, and spoiling her beloved cat Roxie with endless pets and treats. These personal interests remind her of the importance of balance, playfulness, and the simple pleasures that make life meaningful – values she brings into her therapeutic work.
